The Vario 1918 Pilot Blue Dial with White Lume 40mm is a 40 mm steel watch, 10 mm thick, water resistant to 50 m, with a blue enamel dial and white lume, on an oiled leather strap with bund pad. It runs on the Miyota 8N33 hand-wound, non-hacking, more than 40 hours reserve. A hand-wound movement has no rotor and is wound at the crown; non-hacking means the seconds hand keeps running while the time is set.

Collector photographs

Taken by people who own this reference: their light, their wear, their patina. Not the maker’s photography. Where the maker hasn’t given us a photograph, one of these is shown as the main image above, always credited. A few are the Atlas’s own, and say so.

No collector photographs yet

If this watch is in your collection, yours would be the first. A photograph on the wrist shows what a studio image cannot: scale, wear, and how the piece has actually aged.
