The Antarctic GMT Black is an Antarctic in 36 mm 316 stainless steel, running on Soprod's C125 automatic (25 jewels, a 42-hour reserve). The dial is black. A GMT hand makes one turn every 24 hours and is read against a bidirectional 24-hour bezel, so a second time zone can be followed beside local time. The crystal is flat acrylic rather than sapphire. The closed caseback carries the house's penguin engraving and gold medallion. It is water resistant to 50 m.

Collector photographs

Taken by people who own this reference: their light, their wear, their patina. Not the maker’s photography. Where the maker hasn’t given us a photograph, one of these is shown as the main image above, always credited. A few are the Atlas’s own, and say so.

No collector photographs yet

If this watch is in your collection, yours would be the first. A photograph on the wrist shows what a studio image cannot: scale, wear, and how the piece has actually aged.
