Antarctic Glacier Vintage 35mm
The Antarctic Glacier Vintage is an Antarctic in 35 mm 316L stainless steel, running on an ETA 2783 automatic (a 47-hour reserve). Its tuxedo dial is two-toned, the centre set against a contrasting outer ring. The page tells how 18 original Antarctic Glacier dials and 18 ETA 2783 movements, new old stock, were found at the Cenic Watches workshop near Grenchen; this edition uses them, with the movement visible through a sapphire caseback. There is a date window. It sits under a double-domed sapphire crystal. It is water resistant to 50 m. The page limits it to 18 numbered pieces.

Collector photographs
Taken by people who own this reference: their light, their wear, their patina. Not the maker’s photography. Where the maker hasn’t given us a photograph, one of these is shown as the main image above, always credited. A few are the Atlas’s own, and say so.
If this watch is in your collection, yours would be the first. A photograph on the wrist shows what a studio image cannot: scale, wear, and how the piece has actually aged.

How to get one
The maker's page for this exact reference, the same page this catalogue's specifications are sourced from. It was a limited edition of 18, so the page may no longer offer it for sale.
Nivada Grenchen publishes its current collection and its retailer or service network on its own site. Start there for what is actually in production; this catalogue records references whether or not they are still sold.
Check the reference number against the maker's own page before buying anywhere else. It is the one detail that is hard to fake and easy to verify, and it is what the specifications on this page are keyed to.
