The Axis Black PVD, reference 161.574.51, is an automatic sports watch from Davosa's Axis line, 42 mm across in a case of black PVD-coated steel, water resistant to 5 ATM, or 50 metres. It has a black dial and a black leather strap. Inside is the DAV 3021, an automatic calibre with a 41-hour power reserve. PVD lays an ultra-thin, hard metal coating over the steel, so the colour holds and resists abrasion.

Collector photographs

Taken by people who own this reference: their light, their wear, their patina. Not the maker’s photography. Where the maker hasn’t given us a photograph, one of these is shown as the main image above, always credited. A few are the Atlas’s own, and say so.

No collector photographs yet

If this watch is in your collection, yours would be the first. A photograph on the wrist shows what a studio image cannot: scale, wear, and how the piece has actually aged.
