The calibre of the UR-120: a central carousel carries three satellites on planetary gears, and each satellite splits open as it spins on its own axis, a lyre-shaped spring parting and closing it in what URWERK calls the Vulcan salute. The current hour travels the minute track as on any URWERK satellite display. The carousel alone has 175 components, and a star-shaped Windfänger regulates how hard the rotor winds. Self-winding, 4 Hz, 48 hours, 32 jewels, behind a Swiss lever escapement. URWERK has not published who makes its base.
