Caliber 2893-2

ETA's self-winding GMT calibre: hours, minutes and central seconds, a date that changes semi-instantaneously, and a 24-hour hand that can show a second time zone, with quick correction of both the date and the 24-hour hand and a stop-seconds for setting. It measures 11½ lignes (25.6 mm) and 4.1 mm tall, beats at 28,800 vibrations an hour on 21 jewels, winds in both directions and is regulated by ETA's ETACHRON system. ETA gives two reserves: its technical communication CT 2893-2 states a running time of 42 hours, recorded here, while its product listing quotes a typical 50. slow fits it in the Automatically slow and keeps only the second-time-zone hand, so the date change has to be set to midnight by hand.
