Christopher Ward · In-house
Caliber CW-001/AXC
The version of Christopher Ward's first in-house movement that runs the Twelve X Black Shadow, skeletonised so that both sapphire crystals show its twin barrels and the winding work at three o'clock. The page describes a self-winding, COSC-certified chronometer calibre with 120 hours (five days) of reserve from twin mainspring barrels, 31 jewels at 4 Hz, and calls CW-001 more than a decade old. Splitting the energy between two barrels is a common way to reach a long reserve without one impractically long mainspring.
